The UK education system has excellent standard and also flexible. Hence, students can study in a way that suits their lifestyle and career aspirations. English language schools and pathway providers offer pre-university preparation either through English language courses or foundation-level courses.

Cost Of Studying

The cost of study for an international student in the UK is based on the course, program and location. The cost of study can vary depending on the university, their choice of accommodation, their lifestyle and spending habits. However, it is comparatively less than the USA.

Prerequisites

Students willing to pursue their masters have to pass one or more additional tests before they can be considered by most universities for admission. English language tests-IELTS, TOEFL, PTE Academic or Cambridge English: Advanced (also known as the certificate in advanced English/CAE, or Cambridge ESOL).

Reputed universities in UK consider GMAT as an essential requirement for MBA and also insist for good (Requisite) score. GRE is not mandatory for pursuing higher studies in the UK. However, few universities consider GRE as an essential requirement for higher studies. (As applicable)

Admission Process

All applications to UK University are made through UCAC (The universities and colleges admission service). Most of the Universities in the UK will have their intakes in September/October. Few of the universities have their intakes in Jan/Feb. Few Universities have prescribed dates to commence the courses.

Visa Requirements

The most common visa for International students entering the UK is Tire 4 visa. The visa is based on a point system and students need to have 40 points to qualify. Students have to submit proof of documents that they have enough funds to pay Tuition fee, living expenses, and other education costs for the entire duration of their course, travel and other incidental expenses.

The UK is Europe’s third largest economy. By studying in UK, students have opportunities to develop important workplace skills and their ability to think independently, which will significantly increase their chances of self-employment.  International students who study a full time PG course at a recognized university/institution in the UK are allowed to work for a maximum of 20 hours a week and full time during holidays. Students pursuing the Under Graduation degree will be able to work for 10 hours a week.
